Namık Kemal GÖZÜAÇIK, PhD

Research Associate

Namik Kemal Gozuacik was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1987. He received the B.S. degree in metallurgical and materials engineering in 2010 and the M.S. degree in materials engineering in 2012, both from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey. He started to doctorate in the Gebze Technical University, Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering in 2017. In 2018, he got his tenure and was promoted to Res. Asst. position at the Gebze Technical University, Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering. He is currently a research assistant  at the Gebze Technical University, Kocaeli, Turkey. His research interest is the production and characterization of electroceramic materials (piezoelectric, ferroelectric, antiferroelectric ceramics). He pursued the doctoral degree from the same department in 2023.

Ezgi YALÇIN

Teaching Assistant, PhD Student

Ezgi Yalçın was born in Hatay, Turkey in 1994.She received the B.S. degree in materials science and engineering in 2016 from Erciyes University. She worked as a quality control engineer at Tosyalı Toyo Çelik.A.Ş between 2017-2019. She worked as a mechanical process engineer at ALP Havacılık between 2019-2021.She graduated her master's degree in Material Science and Engineering at Gebze Technical University in 2023. In 2021, she started to work as research assistant at the same department. Her research interests are electroceramic materials (piezoelectric, ferroelectric ceramics)

Hüseyin Alptekin SARI

Graduate Researcher, PhD Student

Hüseyin Alptekin Sarı received BSc and MSc degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Gebze Technical University. He worked on processing and mechanical properties of piezoelectric ceramic fibers by the alginate gelation method in his B.S. senior thesis project and on the high energy density and digital actuator applications of PZSnT antiferroelectric ceramics in his M.Sc. thesis. Currently, he is working on molten salt synthesis of anisometric single crystal particles, and tactile sensors based on 0-3 piezocomposites.

Mustafa Çağrı BAYIR

Graduate Researcher, PhD Student

Mustafa Çağrı Bayır received his B.S. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in 2017 at Kocaeli University, Republic of Turkey. He received his M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering in 2019 and then started to his Ph.D. at Gebze Technical University, Republic of Turkey. In 2018, he started to work as research assistant at the same department. In 2020, he attended to Institute Jozef Stefan, Slovenia for 2 months. He moved to the Roketsan A.Ş. in 2020 as an R&D engineer. His research interests include heat treatment and failure analysis in steels, processing and characterization of bulk/thin film electro-ceramics.

Muhammet BOZ

Graduate Researcher, Ph.D. Student

Muhammet Boz received his B.S. in Metalurgical and Material Engineering in 2016 from the Kocaeli University, Turkey. He gave a break for two years in his academic life after whic he started his M.S. in 2019 at Gebze Technical University. He received his M.S. degree in 2021 on design, development and fabrication of transducer arrays based on cylindrical shell transducers. He is currently a Ph.D. student and also working for ENS Piezodevices Ltd. as an R&D Engineer.

Fatma Deniz BELİÇ

Graduate Researcher, MSc Student

Fatma Deniz Beliç has received her BSc degree from Gebze Technical University, Department of Materials Science and Engineering in 2019. 
Between 2018-2019, she took part in the production of BaTiO3 and SrTiO3 template particles which are used in the production of textured piezoelectric ceramics. She completed one of her internships in Oyak Renault Automotive Factories and the other was in ENS Piezodevices Ltd. 
After her BSc. degree, she has started MSc. in the same university and department in 2021. She is currently studying the electrical properties of PMN-PT single-crystal ferroelectric materials with phase boundary composition.
